The other day I pulled down some old home movies for the kids to watch. The tapes began back when Heather and I were expecting the birth of our first and continue all the way to the present. Ella loved to see herself as a baby and thought she was so cute. In fact, Ella asked if there was a way that she could go back in time so she could hold the "newborn Ella". The way she said it was so sweet that I didn't have the heart to explain to her that, as everyone knows, if you are travelling in time and your present self and your past self touch, it causes a rip in the space-time continuum and both selves would cease to exist. Kids come up with the cutest things.
Anyways, as they watched the tapes, I made note of certain clips that I thought might be interesting or significant to the rest of the family. For this blog post I have chosen two clips featuring Tanis that I think captures that exciting time when we were living in Edmonton.
A little background on the video: Heather is pregnant and on bed-rest with Ella. Tanis is not yet married but is dating a guy that we haven't met. There are some interesting, and yes even prophetic, statements that are made during this clip.
And here is one that was filmed in the tunnles under the hospital when Tanis and Crystal came to visit Heather:

Believe me, no one wants that footage more than I do. Unfortunately, I haven't come across anything for Jewel yet (I have only watched the first two tapes).
The next videos will have some clips of dad and a cute one of Ava.
