The kids all got pretty good presents from Santa and we had a family picture taken with him too. While we were standing in line for the photos, I reminded Heather to keep her eyes open in the picture. I often give her a hard time because her eyes are closed in a large percentage of the photos we take. Anyways, after being a jerk and reminding her to keep her eyes open, I went up to get our photo and was disgusted to find that I was the one with the closed eyes (but not just closed, kind of gimpy looking too). I was one Humble Bumble when I handed her the photo and she took one look at the picture and burst out laughing. I tried to apologize but she said it was perfect and she loved it. I don't know where she put it, but I have a feeling it will turn up again. The best course of action is probably to never bother her again about pictures...
After we finished visiting with friends we collected our family and all went to Blackfoot Motorsports where we got our first glimpse of the V7 Classic. Actually a salesman phoned me the moment it came. Posing like a serious customer reminds me of when I used to go to motorcycle shops with dad and he would nod and ask questions like, "what kind of deal could we get if we bought two of these and two of those ones, cash?" I would walk away out of embarrassment and dad would end up with yet another business card. I wonder what ever happened to all those cards?
The bike was a beauty, but fell a little short of my expectations. It had a couple little plastic covers that were painted to look like chrome - always a cheesy touch. And attention to detail, like the routing of the electrical lines and breather hoses looked a little sloppier than you would expect on an Italian bike. Mason knocked over a 50cc dirtbike while dismounting but despite that, is still excited to get his own someday. Even more promising, Heather also thinks it would be fun for the kids to have something to ride around on.
Have a great week everyone.

Oh that last photo is so cute!
Can't wait to hear about this week!!!
Looks like it was a fun time. The spider and butterfly look great!
Too bad the V7 Classic didn't quite live up to expectations.
I love that the present is as big as Tys. He looks pretty impressed too.
