After dinner we surprised them each with a wrapped present (DS games - thanks Lorin). Our waitress came over after the unwrapping and tried to guess what the occasion was. She just looked at me funny when I explained it.

Then we went to play at the park. The weather was perfect and I remembered to take a couple pictures of Deacon. He has changed a lot but I haven't really kept up with those changes in our posts.

We weren't prepared with streamers like we were for the 8's, but when we went home we still played together and had a lot of fun. The really big one will be December 12, 2012. That will be the last time that the year/month/day have the same number for a thousand years. By the time our family celebrates 3001/01/01 together, I don't even know if we will be using the same (or any) calender, so... the 12's will be kind of a big deal.

We were invited to a 9-9-09 party at KJAMBD’s place and it’s fun to know others were celebrating as well. I hope the kids are enjoying the games. Thanks for being a customer.
Little Deacon certainly has grown since the last pictures you posted of him. Glad to see he is progressing well.
12-12-12 should be interesting. Hopefully it won’t be the end of the world that month like some people think it will because of the end of the Mayan calendar on Dec 21, 2012. I personally still intend to do my Christmas shopping that year and write my usual letter to Santa same as always.
Holy my kids missed out. I better not miss 11/11/11. Why don't we just join your party next year. It looks like you guys know how to celebrate!
ha ha, that is so awesome that KJAMBD's and CHEMTS were both doing 09/09/09 party's...when my coworker at work pointed out the date to me, I mentioned my disapointment that I didn't have a party or something special planned for the day (she, like the waitress...didn't seem to get it, and looked at me a little strange)...anyway, awesome celebrations!!
Dang Crystal, I wish we would have called. We just assumed that you would be be busy because it was the middle of the week.
Chad
No Chad, not at all...I was working that day...actually the whole week was such a busy one for us...I was thinking of doing something a little less intense than the way the CHEMTS like to party, something more in the way of a special 9's breakfast or even a 9's cake/cookie, maybe just count to 9 a couple of times throughout the day and then cheer uproariously...if I had remembered, that would have been the extent of our celebrations.
