Last Night in Chiang Mai

Chad asked me to write a post. Sorry, I am not as good at writing as he is, but I thought it might be a good opportunity to journal some of my memories. I always think I will remember everything, but sometimes it seems like it is only a matter of minutes before I have forgotten. This trip has provided many experiences that I never want to forget.
As you know, it has been 15 years since Chad and I were married and although our trip was perfect back then, I am constantly surprised at how perfect this trip is, with the kids. Each day has provided something new to see and learn and it has been so nice to see the kids have these opportunities. I've especially enjoyed the lessons they are learning.
Deacon even realizes how blessed we are back at home. He really misses having fresh water to drink and a few nights ago at the muay thai fight, Ella was touched to see young girls (probably younger than Deacon) out selling items to make money for their family. Ella was definitely not in her element there and had a hard time thinking that this was their life.
Everyone has definitely felt the kindness and generosity of the people here. I loved Bangkok this time, but Chiang Mai has been amazing. We've been able to become regulars at a few food spots and tonight when we went for naamtok, for the last time, we were greeted with big smiles and taken straight to our table! It is crazy that the time has gone so fast and we are moving on already!

Awesome post. I think it is so neat that your kids have had this opportunity and can recognize how blessed we are.
