Well here you have it, a blog post by none other than me (Ella)! This is a bit of what Thailand has been for me so far, and how I've seen it.
In the Grand Palace, there were walls covered in murals of Thailand's past and different legends that have been told throughout the years. At the end of one of the hallways we saw a lady touching up the paintings. Pointing down another hallway, she said that she started at one end and had made her way along, repainting as she went. It was crazy to see how much work was put into keeping the Grand Palace up to date, and running well.
Traffic police in Bangkok usually have lung issues due to the pollution in the air, but it sure did help having him direct traffic. We almost felt safe crossing the road... Almost...
Aren't the people here the best? We complain when we're asked to put the dishes in the dishwasher, when she is expected to wash all the dishes used to feed the customers in the restaurant we were eating at, by hand. I don't like when I'm expected to wash the dishes, but she's washing dishes all day, every day.
This seriously looks like a "Where's Waldo"... Find the yellow car, the barbie doll, and the helicopter! ;)
From my dad's post about the elephants, you might recognize this as my elephant, Mother Camoon. She was super stubborn and the trainer was yelling different commands the whole time! It wasn't till after that I learned that EVERYONE else had the same problems with their elephants.
This is an amazing dish called khao soi. Here is a joke from Mason (he'd kill me if I didn't give him credit for this)...
[M] What do lactose intolerant cows drink?
[you] What?
[M] Cow Soy!!!

I also loved the where's Waldo picture...I found all three, but I had to expand the picture and it took a bit of time..I don't think I would be able to find what I was looking for in a rush!
