Back in business

Yesterday the Paynes invited the Hardys and us to their lake. The weather was perfect and everyone had a lot of fun. We haven't seen some of our cousins for a while so it was good to catch up with them, especially the newer ones. It's amazing how much Dane and Oscar have grown. It's too bad that Tan and John couldn't make it, but we are excited for their upcoming adventure! I also want to give a shout out to Lorin for sending up his copy of The Long Way Round. I've already watched the first two episodes and I'm hooked!

Ella and Ava took the opportunity to convene a meeting of Super Group and address a few matters of business. I suspect that the main purpose of the club is to pick on uncle Chad. Still, I have to admit that it's hard to find fault with their newly-authored Charter. It reads:

We helped our friend in need
We did our Super deed
When someone's in trouble, we can do double
Yah! 1-2-3
Super Group to the rescue

(obtained and reprinted by the Lone Wolves)

Oh and guess who else is back this year:

I have a real soft spot for these feathered friends. We're two little families, sharing the same house and trying to look after our babies as best we can ('cept we don't feed ours worms).

I'm glad you're enjoying the Long Way Round Chad. I think it gets even better starting with the third episode, once they really get into the journey.

You weren't joking Lorin. I have finished the first disk now - Kazakhstan was awesome!

By the way, I haven't been able to get on to your blog lately. Is it private now?

No Chad, my blog isn't private. I have no idea why you wouldn't be able to view it.
If I may ask, what kind of barrier/trouble are you running into when you try to go to it?

When I click on your name it comes up with:

"The Blogger Profile you requested cannot be displayed. Many Blogger users have not yet elected to publicly share their Profile."

Whereas it used to take me to your blog title screen. Perhaps it is only your profile that is disabled and I can still get through with a direct link to your blog. If you wouldn't mind posting that, I will just add it to my list... should fix the problem.

Ah, that is the problem. I recently unselected the share option for my profile.
Here is my blog address.

Sorry for the trouble.

Great post Chad. Love the pics. We had a great time with you all. Can't believe Mya even joined the Lone Wolf for a tiny bit of the day but we'll get her back in with the "super group" for next time. Love the poem they wrote. Glad you wrote it down cause I would have forgotten. By the way... I LOVED your guys's garden!!!!!!!!!

Chad and Family-
I stopped in to say hello! Your kids are darling and I got a big kick out of seeing you in the motorcycle pictures! I loved the Super Group chant, as well. So glad you are healthy and well in Canada. We sure hope to cross paths with you sometime in the not-too-distant future.
Love, Stacie Gruwell (aka. Sister Hansen- it's weird to say that- sometimes Matt calls me that to freak me out- like I married an elder from the mission or something!)

Something weird is happening with my comments, but I wanted to also add that I very much enjoyed Hays's story about Elder Ballard. It made me laugh!

Hahaha Sister Hansen sounds completely normal to me. Stacie Gruwell, now that's wierd to say : ) It's great to hear from you. Say hi to Matt for me.
