As Requested

Auntie Jewel reminded us that we haven't posted in a while and that we probably should change the photo to one that isn't so sad. Mason is back to 100% his normal self, likely due to the icecream and chocolate bar get-well gifts from his thoughtful aunts.

But the sweetest person has to be his cousin Mya who made him one of her famous Owls, complete with a camouflage dinosaur pattern - no one could have picked out a more perfect material for Mason! It is such a special gift that it's somehow exempt to the one-stuffy-at-the-table limit that I have imposed on him since Santa brought him baby Sully from Disneyland two years ago. The above picture is of Sully and "Mr. Cutie Patootie" (Mason named him), in their usual spot.

Here are a couple photos from our trip to Edmonton two weeks ago. The kids loved the hotel and the pool and enjoyed eating out at an Indian restaurant. The buffet featured some sort of cilantro tandoori chicken wings, and Mason surprised us all with how many he ate.

It's nice to look back at some photos of when everyone was healthy and happy, because my next post will probably be another sad one... Tyson now has chicken pox on his tummy, back, and face. They aren't as bad as Mason's were, and he has excitedly verified several times that he doesn't have to go to school tomorrow, but they just started yesterday so they might get worse. And at any rate, we're out of rootbeer ice cream... so....

AHHHHH! TYSON!!! I hope that his chicken pox end up being milder then mason's were. Very awesome that you guys got to Edmonton though, and I LOVE the fact that you have a rule that specifies how many stuffies can be at the table. Cute!

Thanks Tan. Actually no one is allowed any toys at the table... but Baby Sully was the exception because it was a Christmas miracle how Santa brought it for Mason because his mean parents didn't get any toys while in Disneyland. And there's no way I could say no to Mr. Cutie Patootie.

It doesn't seem fair that no one is allowed a toy at the table except for Mason - and now he has TWO toys. But it helps put things in perspective when you remember that Mason is #2 in the birth. So like our #2 sibling when we were growing up, he does get spoiled more than the other kids.
